We're waiting for BMW's answer on our application for "Media Safari". "Media Safari" is a project concept for BMW Award for Intercultural commitment. We wrote it from our experience of living together with people from Kosovo, Armenia, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Latvia, Czech Republic.
This project is intended to people who have central positions in NGO: trainers, youth workers, managers from all over the world, who want to find out new methods of working with media as a tool for intercultural social inclusion.
The project will be a chance offered to people who want to experience a new method of working in intercultural groups, practicing multicultural coexistence for 12 days, while using media as a tool for social inclusion. With this we want to start a platform for youth organizations from all over the world, where people can develop projects together, share ideas, create plans and activities which can benefit the personal and professional development of youth worldwide, regardless of religion, culture, nation, race. Our project will bring people together and will enable them to interact and co-create.
The plan is to address the burning issue of intercultural social exclusion present everywhere in the world nowadays. We will build a training programme based on non-formal education. The main methodology will be learning by experience, together with presentations, case studies, small group discussions, outdoor activities, self reflection, open discussions, sharings in small and big groups. We will alternate activities facilitated by trainers with activities organized by participants, who will have space for intercultural learning and creativity. We will have a team of Synergy trainers who are experienced in working with international groups using media as a tool for personal development.
Let's see how it turns at the beginning of September.
